On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the WCO Asia/Pacific Regional Office for Capacity Building (ROCB A/P) headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, had an online meeting with representatives from the Australian Border Force (ABF).

Mr. Jun Tajima and Mr. Mark Ho joined from the ROCB A/P, with discussions centering on collaborative opportunities to deliver targeted technical assistance programs tailored to the region's evolving needs. ABF outlined its ongoing partnership with ASEAN in delivering technical assistance initiatives. Participants explored plans for in-person assistance programs in the upcoming fiscal year, emphasizing practical, region-specific solutions to bolster Customs efficiency and sustainability.

The dialogue extended to broader collaboration avenues, including joint opportunities with ROCB A/P, interest in Training of Trainers and Learning Development programs, along with strategies to harness mutual expertise for greater impact. The meeting underscored a shared commitment to empowering Customs officials through innovative, high-quality capacity building.
