ROCB AP collaborate with WWF UNEP INCB at RILO AP Seminar

At the invitation of RILO A/P, Mr. Norikazu Kuramoto, Head of the ROCB A/P attended the Regional Seminar in Asia and the Pacific at 11 November 2021 which is collaboration with World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), United Nation Environment Program (UNEP) and International Narcotic Control Board (INCB) hosted and organized by RILO AP.

Mr. Kuramoto delivered opening remarks at the beginning the seminar. In his remarks, Mr. Kuramoto underlined that Customs plays a critical role at the national borders to facilitate legitimate trade with reasonable enforcement operation. He also emphasized that Intelligence is a key and core in our enforcement operation at the frontlines as of today and Customs need to maintain and improve the enforcement function with updated the trend of illegal activities and its related information in a timely manner in collaboration with key counterparts namely WWF, UNEP and INCS.

This regional seminar was organized and designed by RILO A/P for Asia Pacific members for aiming to further collaborate with intergovernmental organizations and NPO as key counterparts of Customs administration in enforcement operation though exchanging information and views.
